Sharply focused, the 2022 Verdicchio di Matelica bursts from the glass with a mix of crushed stones, dried flowers, iodine and green apples. The dry warmth of the vintage has imparted this with a sapidity that is seldom seen. Silky textures give way to tart orchard fruits. Mineral notes and a citrus-tinged acidity pepper the palate.
