Granite Project Beaujolais Village 2022
The Granite Project 2022 Beaujolais-Villages offers a vibrant expression of the Beaujolais terroir, rooted in the granitic soils of vineyards located just south of Brouilly. This collaboration between Eric Solomon and the Jandard/Descombe families showcases the character of old vines farmed sustainably, producing a wine with a fresh, aromatic profile.
Composition: 100% Gamay grapes. Vine age approximately 65 years, planted on sandy, decomposed granite soils.
Winemaking: Hand-harvested grapes undergo semi-carbonic maceration/fermentation with natural yeast in concrete tanks.
Aging: The wine is matured for 10 months in concrete tanks, with a small amount of sulfur added just before bottling.
