Wine Critic Reviews

Decanter World Wine Awards (87): No specific tasting notes provided in the review.

Bacchus Magazine (88): At the heart of the Pays d'oc, Catherine Delaunay has been infusing her demanding passion for nearly three decades, creating authentic, elegant, and accessible wines, as evidenced by this inviting Sauvignon Blanc. Its pale gold color with green reflections shimmers with youthful freshness. On the nose, a precise and seductive aromatic symphony releases delicate aromas of lime, pink grapefruit, subtly joined by vegetal touches—blackcurrant bud, tomato leaf—that intertwine in a joyful and luminous olfactory choreography. On the palate, the score continues, alert and well-chiseled. What invigorating freshness! The attack is lively, carried by pleasant acidity, which energizes without dominating. Here we find the elegance of citrus fruits, the discreet crunch of a Granny Smith apple, supported by a discreet but clear minerality, a sign of a well-born wine. The suave and persistent finish offers a tasty reminder of exotic fruits.

Vinum Wine Magazine (86): Pale straw yellow in the glass. Even though the alcohol content is only 9% by volume, the scent is unmistakably a cool Sauvignon Blanc. Some citrus fruit, grapefruit, gooseberry, hay, and meadow herbs, all well-coordinated and interwoven. The palate is cool, tart, and green-fruity at the same time, lots of boxwood, green gooseberry, and green spice. Not a solo dancer, needs the right companion on the plate.
