The 2023 Pinot Noir Own-Rooted comes from older vines in three vineyards, planted in both volcanic and sedimentary soils. It was fermented with 10% whole clusters and matured for 11 months in 25% new oak. It floods the senses with bramble fruit, rhubarb, loamy earth, mushrooms and incense. The medium-bodied palate features generous layers of crunchy fruit. It’s structured by chalky tannins and vibrant acidity and has a long, earth-laced finish. 97 cases were made.
