Arietta Quartet 2022

Arietta Quartet 2022

The 2022 Arietta Quartet is a rich, layered Napa Valley red blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, offering dark fruit, mocha, and cedar notes with smooth, well-defined tannins.
Composition and Winemaking

The 2022 Quartet is a Bordeaux-style blend consisting of 71% Cabernet Sauvignon from Coombsville, 16% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, and 6% Syrah from Carneros, marking the first vintage where Syrah replaces Petit Verdot in the blend.

The wine was aged for 20 months in French oak barrels, with 21% new oak, which integrates seamlessly to round the tannins and enhance depth.

The grapes come from the cooler southern end of Napa Valley, providing natural acidity and balance.

93 pts Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2022 Quartet Red Wine blends 71% Cabernet Sauvignon from Coombsville with 16% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 6% Syrah, all from Carneros. With only 19% new French oak, it's barely noticeable on the complex nose, which offers up hints of tobacco, sage and more floral elements alongside notes of cassis and black cherries. Medium to full-bodied in the mouth, it's silky and delicious, even if it may fall off just a bit on the finish to reveal a touch of caramel. It's hard to believe this is an "entry-level" wine—it's that good.

92 pts Jeb Dunnuck
The entry-level release under this label, the 2022 Red Wine Quartet is upfront and beautifully fruited, with pure red, blue, and black fruits, some leafy herb and violet notes, medium to full body, and no hard edges. Drink this plump, sexy, forward effort over the coming 7-8 years or more.

91 pts Vinous
The 2022 Red Blend Quartet is a terrific entry-level offering from Arietta. Bright and punchy, the 2022 is hugely delicious. Juicy red cherry fruit, blood orange, mint and spice are nicely pushed forward. The 2022 is very fine. This is the first vintage in which Syrah replaces Petit Verdot as the fourth variety in the blend.
