Thibaud Boudignon Savennieres Clos de la Hutte 2022 - 1.5L
97pts Vinous Media
Although it's ungenerous on the nose, the 2022 Savennières Clos de la Hutte is tender and generous in the mouth, welcoming you in. There's a cloud of gently handled fruit that embraces the palate, but it does so in an elegant and light-on-its-feet way. Texturally, it's seamless and coats the mouth with fine texture. In terms of flavor, expect salty, briny notes and citrus tones alongside a touch of spice and nutty oak on the finish. This is a wine that seems to be able to take a deep, calming breath and become more complete. Drinking Window: 2025 - 2037
- High density plantings, practicing biodynamic
- From the lieu-dit ‘Clos de La Hutte’ in the hamlet of La Possonnière
- Planted in 2011 – massal selection
- Grown on solid schist, some spots to the surface, others 15cm of clay and sand before hitting the mother rock
- No malo, indigenous yeasts
- Aged in 50% 350l and 50% 500l barrels (15% new)
