The 2020 30 File is a new Cabernet Franc, just 450 bottles, from 30 rows of vines on shallow rocky soils at 500-600 meters in elevation. Dark-toned plum, dried herbs, incense, graphite and crushed flowers unfurl over time. Aeration brings out the wine’s textural substance, especially on the back end, where the 2020 really blossoms. There’s notable generosity here. What a gorgeous wine.
